What did we learn from Reformed?

Well Reformed definitely answered some questions, and you don’t get any points for guessing what we learned about. Still, in the interests of keeping most spoilers off of the main page, you’re just going to have to read more if you want to be sure that your guess was correct.

Immediate reaction to Reformed

Alright, first off the big hype: we got to see new parts of the temple! Sure, they’re non-functional, but it’s still more than we saw during season one. Really, the amount of apparently dead space in the temple is quite perplexing. Hmmmmmmm… Need more evidence, need so much more evidence.

Of course that may be …

What we learned from Love Letters

Ah, character episodes. You’d think they would be our bane, since we’re definitely in love with the lore of the show. The characters give meaning to the lore though, so we’re quite happy to see Jamie return (especially if we have an episode like Reformed coming up with a premise that implies some good chances for …

Immediate reaction to Love Letters

As expected, there’s little lore in this episode. Still, come curious elements were mentioned, as well as a current project the Crystal Gems are undertaking which makes a lot of sense and so gives us some ideas about what might happen later in the season.

Of more immediate note, however: Mama Sadie!

What we learned from Shirt Club

It’s another one of those “character episodes” we’ve been having so many of lately, since #StevenBomb forced an adjustment to the schedule that clustered a bunch of character episodes together. We’re crafty though, and we’ve sniffed out at least something lore-related to consider in Shirt Club.

Well, there’s not much lore here (a smidgen, but… Well, that means not much), since it’s a very character-centric episode again. We don’t think there will be much lore or speculation to be had, but if we focused on the characters instead we’d be really happy with what we learned about Buck. Heck, even Mayor …

What we learned from Story for Steven

It’s been a brief dry spell for lore episodes, but Story for Steven has turned that around. What did we learn from it? Other than Greg Good, Marty Bad? Still a good amount. (Flashback episodes do have that power!) Just sit back and see what we’ve learned.

Alright, we give up. If this isn’t the episode with Rose’s song in it then we just don’t know how we’re ever going to predict it. They had such a perfect opportunity for a duet but they didn’t take it. Oh well. On the bright side, this means that they were recording for season two …

What #StevenBomb showed us about Rose Quartz

With Story for Steven coming up this week we figured it was finally time to reflect on what we learned about Rose Quartz during #StevenBomb. Rose’s Scabbard and The Return both gave us some good information—especially Rose’s Scabbard, as if the name wasn’t enough of a clue that it would feature the memory of Rose very prominently.

This is …

Don’t worry bro, none of this is canon.

Well that makes our job pretty easy this week, now doesn’t it? 😉

Other than that… Well, it happened. Without it being canon there can’t be lore implications of any kind, and yet… Well, they slipped in confirmation of at least one fun fact for us: how …
