Ratings for Full Disclosure

The last of the #StevenBomb episodes, Full Disclosure did fairly well: it pulled in 1,519,000 viewers on a Friday and with children still off on Spring Break.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 11: #StevenBomb

PodcastTitleStevenBombWith #StevenBomb over, GC13 and Ken get their final thoughts in on the event.

While the event was intense for lore, with all of the “filler” (if there is such a thing in Steven Universe) cut out, we’re still left with plenty of questions.

Perhaps most importantly, there’s now plenty of hype for the show going into season two. There are so many chickens that haven’t come home to roost yet, and we just know that season two will send some more out into the world.

Now that we’re back on our weekly schedule, the next episode of the podcast will be at the regular time next week and will cover Open Book.

Song of the week: Stronger Than You

Okay everyone, I think we all know what’s going on here.

Did you expect anything else to be able to compete with Stronger Than You? No, it’s the song everyone’s talking about, and with good reason. It’s the song of the week, so jam on!

What could #StevenBomb mean?

#StevenBomb wrapped a lot of stuff up with some fairly lore-heavy episodes, but it still left us with some unanswered questions about more of the backstory. Even more interesting, however, are the questions about where the show will take us from here.

Since we have a couple big questions, we’ll get our thoughts out about these questions out over the next couple of weeks. These posts will be linked to in the master speculation post, here, while our thoughts about the backstory we feel more confident in will go in the master lore implications post.

What we learned from #StevenBomb

Rather than take each episode individually, we’re going to take advantage of the packaging of six episodes together into one big #StevenBomb and do some posts on the lore implications of, and speculation from, what we’ve learned this week.

These posts will come out over the next couple of weeks, and will be linked to in the master #StevenBomb lore implications post (this one) and the master #StevenBomb speculation post.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 10: Full Disclosure

PodcastTitleStevenBombKen and GC13 discuss the season two premier of Steven Universe and the last episode of the #StevenBomb, Full Disclosure.

A rare occurrence! Ken and GC13 agree on an episode for the first time (not counting the finale, which was too amazing for anyone to dislike)! Of course the discussion goes back to The Return and Jailbreak briefly, but we manage to stay on topic most of the time. 🙂

Now that #StevenBomb is over we’ll be going back to our weekly schedule, starting this very Monday with a review of the whole #StevenBomb event.

Preview for Open Book

Ah, we like having previews to post again. CoinOpTV brings us this preview for Open Book, one of the episodes moved from season one into season two.

Immediate reaction to Full Disclosure

And so #StevenBomb ends on a quiet note, more focused on the relationship between Steven and Connie than on any kind of lore (although Amethyst and Pearl do drop one amusing nugget of wisdom for us).

Also: we know your pain, Ronaldo. You can confide in us.

Ratings for The Return and Jailbreak

Well this was kind of a dismal day for premiers: 1,697,000 viewers for Steven Universe, and numbers down for all of Cartoon Network’s shows. Perhaps there are a lot of younger fans on vacation during Spring Break (as evidenced by how high Steven Universe placed in numbers for adults specifically).

Here’s how all of Cartoon Network’s premiers did:

  1. Teen Titans Go at 6:00 with 1,968,000
  2. Steven Universe at 5:00 with 1,697,000
  3. Regular Show at 7:30 with 1,660,000
  4. Uncle Grandpa at 5:30 with 1,547,000

Adventure Time and Amazing World of Gumball didn’t air any premiers this week, so this list is complete.
