#StevenBomb 2.0 to begin on June 15, 2015

Yeah, how’s this for good news? A break in the hiatus to air five new Steven Universe episodes in one week.

Judging from the characters in the pictures, it’s a fair bet that Monday will give us Sworn to the Sword, where Pearl teaches Connie how to sword fight, and Tuesday will give us Rising Tides/Crashing Skies, an episode where Ronaldo investigates the Crystal Gems.

Who’s hyped?

(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA) that’s my reaction to this

Oh geez, Rebecca said Steven was going to learn a lot about the Gems soon. Desperately putting all my chips on the Peridot/Ronaldo meeting theory

Also, Garnet Episode? TVGuide lists another episode about the Kindergarten coming up, so I hope we get to see some “Garnet having trouble staying fused” action on the 17th.

Maybe Wednesday or Friday is “Keeping It Together”? I originally assumed they would find a gem in kindergarten and the team would be divided. Garnet and Pearl want to bubble it but Amethyst and Steven want to keep it, and the team is at odds. But now seeing Garnet’s picture on Wednesday, I’m hoping it has to do with Ruby and Sapphire. Hurry up June!!

Keeping it Together would make sense for a Garnet episode, considering how she’s a fusion. How that relates to the Kindergarten, though? Ooooh, super-interested.

Imagine if either Ruby or Sapphire is a Kindergarten Gem. Not both, but maybe one of them, and the other didn’t know, and so they’re disgusted by each other? It’s really unlikely but I think it’d be super interesting.

        1. That is possible, but I doubt they’d be disgusted by each other. Those two seem inseparable even in the darkest of circumstances. It would take something big (emotionally, that is) to break them apart.

I was thinking that a good reason for them to un-fuse (other than for steven’s bday) would be if they were trying to protect each other. Since they share a body, it would be to protect them from something internal. Perhaps one or both suffer from PTSD about something (kindergarden?) and want to spare the other from sharing in that mental anguish? The problem with that idea however, is that it seems Garnet has been together for so long. I would think that they have already learned how to cope with tragedy and its ill effects as a couple.

  2. In all honesty, though, it’s this new Steven Bomb isn’t really that special when all the other shows are getting the same treatment. I’m just excited for the show to come back so soon.

    OOOOOOOOOO

So, other than the already known about episodes, we’ve also got a Garnet episode and a Greg episode… and then a complete mystery, which has me super curious and also a bit excited.

I hope the mystery episode involves Lapis coming back and joining the Gems, I’m so hyped for this second #StevenBomb

    • Sophie on May 29, 2015 at 2:25 pm

I like to imagine that when malachite went to the bottom of the ocean, the fusion broke, and then another group of gems found lapis and jasper and imprisoned them. That’s the likely half.

The unlikely half is that the ‘new team’ is made up entirely of half gems like Steven who have mastered their powers.

Anyways, fingers crossed for something really, really good on Friday!

June 15: “Sworn to the Sword”- Connie trains with Pearl to be a sword fighter.

June 16: “Rising Tides/Crashing Skies”- Ronaldo does some investigative reporting on whether Steven and the Crystal Gems are safe for Beach City.

June 17: “Keeping It Together”- Steven and the Gems find a dark secret when they revisit Kindergarten.

June 18: “We Need to Talk”- Greg tells Steven and Connie the story of how he learned about Gem fusion.

June 19: “Chille Tid”- Steven and the Gems hope a slumber party will allow them some time to relax.

    1. Well, judging from Maximum Capacity, I don’t “We Need To Talk” is going to be a very….uh…happy episode. It’s strange, I already know what’s going to happen, and yet, that only makes me more nervous.

There’s gonna be some stuff going down during Steven Bomb 2.0.

A slumber party. Now I want to know who is invited.
