GC13 and David discuss the first episode of Summer Camp Island, The First Day.
For a character who begins the episode riding in a car without his seatbelt on, then quickly climbs on top of the roof, Oscar has some problems with anxiety. It’s okay, that just means he has more room to grow.
It’s a good setup for the rest of the series though, showing you the characters you’ll come to know and making it clear that the series will be about staying at summer camp, not about wanting to leave it.

Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart is about a trio of heroes. Two of them are experienced adventurers, but Adorabat starts the show off without any combat experience at all, just the same will to be a hero that Mao Mao had.
Over the course of the twenty-eight episodes we’ve seen so far Adorabat has become much better in a fight, and even shown that she has the smarts to win when fighting isn’t an option, and it’s time to appreciate how far she’s come.

GC13 and David discuss the finale of OK K.O.: Let’s Be Heroes!: Dendy’s Video Channel, Let’s Fight to the End, and Thank You For Watching the Show.
It needs to be said again and again, but OK KO ended before its time. Even one more season of the same length, or making season three a more normal length compared to the rest of the show, would have done wonders.
What’s next for Ian Jones-Quartey? Cartoons take a long time to get off the ground, after all.

Steven Universe is a series all about redemption, but after the movie a lot of fans consider Pink Diamond to be irredeemable. Thanks to how our knowledge of her started with her most mature state and moved into her deeper and deeper past, our most recent memories of Rose are now of how she was thousands of years in the past.
Is Rose Quartz beyond redemption? Of course not: she was already redeemed thousands of years before the events of the show. The entire time Steven Universe was on air Spinel may have been waiting for Pink Diamond, but Rose had also grown beyond who she was back on Homeworld.
