Hilda Season One Fireside Chat

A year after Hilda’s release on Netflix, David and Sophia settle in front the fire and lay out their feelings about this animated adaptation of Luke Pearson’s beloved graphic novel series “Hilda”.

The duo break down why the show visually looks so good, what they love about the character Hilda herself, and speculate about the lore behind the surface.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 269: Chocolate Money Badgers

GC13 and David discuss the third episode of Summer Camp Island, Chocolate Money Badgers. (Yes, despite the episode’s focus on badges it’s “badgers”, not “badges”.)

It’s still early in the series and Susie is still doing the work of establishing herself as the mean witch. Despite all of that though, Summer Camp Island is as kind a show as ever. There are also some musical nods to Charlie Brown, including the sounds adult yetis make when they speak (more on that in Saxophone Come Home).

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 268: HBO Max and Cartoon Network

GC13 and David discuss what HBO Max could mean for Cartoon Network.

Two shows produced by Cartoon Network Studios have been announced to be exclusive to HBO Max, and we know that the continuation (of a sort) of Adventure Time will be exclusive as well. What we don’t know is how many more exclusives will follow, and if any of them will be shows currently airing on the network.

Also, it would be nice if “exclusive” meant “streaming exclusive”, not “you can’t buy this anywhere else”, but again: we don’t know.

This episode is also available on YouTube.

Each Kid in the Craig of the Creek Intro

Craig of the Creek doesn’t just have a great main cast, it has a great supporting cast too. A lot of those supporting kids are featured in the intro, so now it’s time to take a look at the Craig of the Creek intro and see when each kid or group of kids in it first appeared in the show.

Plus, a special shoutout to the Witches of the Creek and Elders of the Creek for being so old and still hanging out at the Creek.
