Feels. You should expect feels from Story for Steven. There’s no way such an exuberant song can be paired up with such an empty concert and there not be feels. Still, we know that Greg finally got the life in the stars he said he was living, so at least it ends on a bright note.
Also, this episode has a high degree of likelihood for being the episode we get to hear Rose Quartz sing in. Who’s hyped for that? We know we are.
And one week after Story for Steven we’ll be getting the last episode produced with season one: Shirt Club. When you hear about a low-key episode like this you should duck for cover and start wondering just how this episode could get serious. Even if they don’t hit us hard with a feels train in Shirt Club, it will be interesting to see how magic seeps into the episode.

With the release of Attack the Light Steven Universe finally has an RPG of its own (still no mithril putter though). Steven knows a thing or two about RPGs, and we can only assume that Golf Quest Mini isn’t the only one he’s played. 🙂 So to honor the new game, the Golf Quest Mini OST is the song (collection) of the week.
Plus Steven and Uncle Grandpa were playing on a Game Cube in Say Uncle, so we have to get some gaming goodness in here.

With Story for Steven coming up this week we figured it was finally time to reflect on what we learned about Rose Quartz during #StevenBomb. Rose’s Scabbard and The Return both gave us some good information—especially Rose’s Scabbard, as if the name wasn’t enough of a clue that it would feature the memory of Rose very prominently.
This is the second, and last, piece of lore implications from #StevenBomb.
Is everyone ready to rock out with Mr. Universe? This has definite promise: good music, great visuals. And sad, because… Well, you’ll see. Story for Steven is the second of our three unaired season-one episodes, so don’t miss it on April 9 at 5:30 PM EDT.
With all of the excitement about the crossover we almost forgot: the Steven Universe RPG, Attack the Light, finally released today! It’s $3 on iTunes and the Android marketplace.
Attack the Light is an RPG in the style of Paper Mario made for mobile devices, and the Steven Universe team was involved in building the game’s story and aesthetic (though obviously they had to leave the programming to the professionals). The reviews are looking good, so if you have an appropriate mobile device then definitely consider picking it up.
Don’t worry bro, none of this is canon.
Well that makes our job pretty easy this week, now doesn’t it? 😉
Other than that… Well, it happened. Without it being canon there can’t be lore implications of any kind, and yet… Well, they slipped in confirmation of at least one fun fact for us: how Steven uses his gem powers. We’ll see if we can spin that into a full-length article, but it’s just confirmation of a pattern that had been observed before.
