Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 114: Gem Harvest

PodcastTitleGC13 and Hunter discuss the second double-length episode of Steven Universe: Gem Harvest. That Lapis joke though.

We want more Carl Andy on the show. Thankfully we’ll probably get more of him, because he’s funny and a really good guy.

Even if the Gems were being more befuddled by humanity than usual, that didn’t stop this from being a fun Thanksgiving episode. (Plus, it was a sign of two holidays being missing in Steven’s Universe: Thanksgiving and Halloween!)

Also, a merchandise update: eight new t-shirts have been added to the official Cartoon Network online store. Normally we wouldn’t update you for new merch, except this gem is one of the new shirts. You know what to do with this.

Has anyone thought about how convenient it is that Greg traveled across presumably many towns before settling at within a short hiking distance to his family’s barn.

I actually found the table scene to be one of my favorite parts, awkward conversations and in-jokes among the Gems and everything. The bit before where they don’t understand how celebrations work was the comedy for comedy sake moment, where as the table scene didn’t feel that way because it seemed like things they would actually talk about after all getting sat together, as Peridot pointed out hasn’t happened in so long. I even liked the “where are my manners” joke, it was understandable that they would miss a specific colloquial term for politeness.

Same. I was also thinking that the Pumpkin Puppy would be a major protagonist or antagonist in this episode, because it has a mild distaste for Steven. so I though somethin would happen with that characteristic.

This was nice episode…oh nice review too lol.

Since you mentioned Mighty Magiswords, I was thinking of watching it,…until I saw this commercial:

It just feels so corporate, and I’m worried with Cartoon Network’s future output, now that 3 shows of their’s are ending. I feel this video comes into play:
