GC13 and Soren discuss the first episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Hot Pot and Tart.
It’s a show about slaying monsters in a dungeon then cooking and eating them. Thank goodness Senshi showed up to share his vast experience preparing the various monsters of the dungeon—it wouldn’t have been nearly as delicious in the dungeon without him.
And if you’ve ever played Battle Chef Brigade, well, you can be as excited about Delicious in Dungeon as GC13 is.

Ohhh what a splendid suprise this podcast covering Dungeon Meshi!
i read the manga, and watching the anime in japanese with english subs and the brazilian dub with my mom, i am so glad i can show it to my parents
There is some things i wanted to add in the context, that while Dungeons and Dragons is a clear inspiration, there is also a missing piece of the puzzle related to the japanese influence of that series
The series of games was really popular in Japan, stuff like having samurais, the kobolds being dogs are some examples of that game
the author also mentioned seeing her parents playing one of the games when she was young

i never played Wizardy myself, but i khow about it by my friends, but if there is patience for a 50 minutes video on youtube, there is this explaining about the first years in the series by St1ka

There is also a anime ova, Wizardy (1991) which is free to watch on youtube.
i want to make clear i am not saying “artist took all that from that other media”m that would be silly
I just wanted to add that was one of the pieces of influence and inspiritation.
That’s cool context, thanks for sharing!
