It would be perfect for When it Rains to be a character episode. Peridot has only just moved in with Steven, so naturally the next episode should focus on her as a character. The Crystal Gems are out of the picture for most of this episode, if the commercial and preview are to be believed, so it looks like a nice episode focused on Peridot and Steven is what we’re getting.
Of course Peridot’s ominous “it’s happening!” makes it sound like we’ll be getting a healthy dose of exposition along with our character episode. It’s still a bit early to unleash the Cluster though, so we’re expecting a few more episodes building it up before it’s finally released.

Could see a tremendous breakdown from her, too.
The title of this episode is indicative to me we are in for more than we bargained for. I’m anticipating a heavy stinger. Steven gets a drop bomb dropped on him about his mom? Malachite surfaces? Something’s gotta pour.

You don’t think that Peridot finally telling him about the Cluster will be enough? As great as it would be for Peridot to tell Steven what the records say about his mother, I don’t think they’ll go there with her. That’s more something I’d expect Jasper to do, or Lapis if Jasper isn’t in a chatty mood.
The questions I proposed were very broad hypotheticals. But I don’t think that information on the cluster alone is enough to legitimize the expectations derived from the use of a common cliché as a title for this episode. The clues dropped form the promos indicate that it will be a Steven and Peridot episode mainly focused on relationship/trust building. However, I think we might get hit with a super cliffhanger. Something that would send the Crystal Gems into a knee-jerk reaction of enlisting Peridot for help. Perhaps by building mechs in a barn.
My Laser Light Headcannon says one of the Gems won’t return from the mission they leave for at the beginning of the episode.
