This was shown at the San Diego Comic Con, but in case you were waiting for Cartoon Network to release the high-quality video here’s the clip.
Fair warning, however: while episode previews don’t normally spoil much, this one spoils a lot. It’s worth it though. Even the thumbnail is a spoiler if you look at it, so we’re hiding that below the Read the Rest button.

Well to be honest I was hoping for Sardonyx to be more like Opal than… Sardonyx. But then, Opal is a really tough act to follow so I can’t hold that against Sardonyx. Also word is floating around the Internet that this is going to be another episode where Pearl Does A Bad Thing and so I’m kind of dreading the fan response.
From the looks of it, that could be the case. I doubt it’d be a huge screw up, though, like in Rose’s Scabbard.
Also, nice to see they’re back in the place they were at in Coach Steven. This should be interesting.
OH SNAP

wow… just wow
Here’s an addition to the planet of the Pearls theory:
Pearl was probably designed to be a fusion partner, likely also as a privilege to the strongest gem (Rose, then Garnet) All of the fusions we have seen pearl in are stable. In fact, 3/7 fusions we have seen include Pearl. Just wanted to get this out there

Alexandrite wasn’t stable at all. Sugilite was also pretty stable, magically, but her personality was so volatile that that turned out to be a bad thing.
Considering the homeworld’s view on fusion it’s rather doubtful that they’d make a whole class of Gem just for fusion. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what Pearls, and all other homeworld Gems, are normally like.
ruby has fire powers , sapphire has ice powers, they both have 1 gauntlet has a weapon and tomorrow we will get a whole episode of them arguing
