Yesterday at about five o’clock Eastern time Cartoon Network posted a video. Featuring Ms. Sugar and Mr. Jones-Quartey, it was a short two-minutes-and-change podcast episode about cartooning with added video of the speakers and some background footage of their respective cartoons.
As you no doubt are either already aware or have already guessed, some of the Steven Universe footage was from unaired episodes. Most of the clips were fairly mundane if intriguing.
Except there was one clip. Oh one short clip to drive the fandom mad.
If you haven’t seen it, the relevant section that features the oh-so-juicy clip is available on Reddit. Just be warned that this clip is almost certainly from at or around the season finale (if there’s something even more consequential than this to round up the season, then hold on to your hat).
You can surely expect a podcast episode from us speculating about what this clip means, but we will be waiting to do that until our May 21st episode (assuming, of course, that we do not get more weekly episodes after Can’t Go Back and A Single Pale Rose).
If you aren’t aware of what’s in the spoilers yet and want to know, you can watch the clip. If you don’t want to be spoiled, however… Be careful, and be strong. There will be lots of people discussing it, and not everyone will be engaging in as strict spoiler discipline as we will be on the Lunar Sea Spire.
Here are the episodes currently available for viewing on Cartoon Network’s app and website without logging in with your cable provider’s information:
Gem Drill was also added, then The Big Show later while The Zoo was removed.

GC13 and David discuss the ultimate future vision episode: Pool Hopping.
While the last piece of Garnet’s future vision puzzle was finally explained to us in Pool Hopping, there’s a lot more to get excited over—cats, for instance! Hopefully we see a lot more of Cat Steven in the future, even if just in the background.
It does leave the question of where everything is going though. Steven is crucial to it all, but how can he protect Earth from the Diamonds?
All times are EDT.

For a while we’ve been baffled about how very fallible Garnet’s future vision has been presented in some cases and how very effective it’s been in others—see Future Boy Zoltron for an example of her displaying a masterful command over her future vision, for instance.
Ever since Future Vision we’ve more or less had it right: Garnet’s future vision is based on probability, and her understanding of the current conditions is important for her getting the probabilities right. What we’ve been missing has been something to bridge the gap, explaining how Garnet can know all about Frowney in Future Boy Zoltron but be befuddled by Steven’s actions at every turn.
Pool Hopping finally came in to explain, and then dramatically show, the last missing piece. When Garnet is sitting there in the rain, holding the kittens, she still sees all the possible futures that could befall the cats—it’s picking a likely future she can’t do. It’s only after the cats are safe and dry, and Garnet has re-evaluated what kind of behavior she can expect from Steven, that she feels confident again.
It’s as simple as can be, for the most part: Garnet has come to expect Steven to act a certain way, and it’s only after seeing Steven take charge in a small yet touching scenario that she realizes that his desire to take proactive steps is his new likely behavior rather than an improbable occurrence.
Her previous big-ticket failures, at least the most recent ones, are explained as her expecting Steven to continue to act like he did earlier in the series. Whether Garnet’s future vision will prove more accurate in the future of the show remains to be seen, but at least we know why Garnet has been missing some important stuff lately.

GC13 and Isabelle discuss The Big Show.
Let’s get one thing out of the way: we need a Sadie Killer and the Suspects album. Obviously the songs that have appeared on the show should be in the second volume of the soundtrack, but we should get more songs to go with them.
Greg’s musical connections have finally paid off: Sunshine Justice may not be a pony, but she apparently has a nice venue. She probably won’t show up at the Beach City concert, but Barb definitely will!
Someone checking Cartoon Network’s old schedule system has brought us some interesting news: we now have episode titles for the two-parter that will be airing at 7:30 PM on May 7. It will be two separate episodes:
