What to expect from Nightmare Hospital

Well, it’s been just about as long since we got to make one of these. It’s time to get back to making some reasonable assumptions based on what we know.

We’ve already seen Connie’s mother with Rose’s sword, and apparently she sees Steven and Connie escape through a portal on Lion’s back as well. This means this is probably it: this is the episode where Dr. Maheswaran finds out that her daughter is involved with magic stuff.

Connie was very afraid of what she would do if that happened back in We Need to Talk, but we think that everything will turn out alright. She just got into the theme song, so there’s no way she’d be pulled from the cast. The Maheswarans are all about safety, so how could they object to their daughter saving the world?

If we’re really lucky, Dr. Maheswaran will sign Connie’s permission slip for world-saving activities but still express concern for Connie’s safety, after which they promise to only fight as Stevonnie for perfect shield coverage.

We can dream.

New episode: Sadie’s Song will air on September 17, 2015

Well it’s been a few months since we got to post one of these. Nightmare Hospital will, of course, air this week, but next week we’ll be getting Sadie’s Song, on September 17 at 5:30 PM EDT.

Sadie’s Song
Steven helps Sadie plan a performance for Beachapalooza.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 46: Onion Trade

PodcastTitleGC13, Hunter, and new member Sophia discuss our last retro episode for a while: Onion Trade.

Onion Trade was great; it has some more wonderful and fatherly Greg, an excellent romp through Beach City, and the Scooter Saga ends in fire. Also, as always, wonderful music.

We’ll be happy to get on to new episodes again this week, but we’re also looking forward to the next break when we get to talk about Steven the Sword Fighter. New episodes, then Steven the Sword Fighter; could this get any better?

We’re also on Tumblr now. Check out the podcast’s Tumblr account to keep up to date with podcast activity. And if you have any pronunciation corrections, tweet them to @g_c13.

backsept10

Ah, well that wait was longer than we expected (what with the last-minute extension), but we’re finally going to see new episodes again! The Crewniverse has announced that on Thursday, September 10 Steven Universe will begin premiering new episodes again.

Presumably we’ll be getting Nightmare Hospital, as was originally the plan before the hiatus was lengthened.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 45: Lars and the Cool Kids

PodcastTitleGC13, Ken, and Hunter continue to go through the old episodes by discussing Lars and the Cool Kids.

The cool kids we see are nearly perfect opposites of the traditional “cool kid” that cartoons like to portray, but rather than be one-note characters they’ve continued to see episodes in the series.

Lars didn’t come off so well, but at least he tried to learn something from the events of this episode. (Hunter would disagree, and say that that he didn’t try very hard.)

Auditions are over and we’ve gone through them, and next week we’ll have a new member: sofireous! Thank you to everyone who applied.
