Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 289: The Steven Universe: Future Finale

GC13, Ken, Isabelle, Sophia, and David discuss the final four episodes of Steven Universe: Future: Homeworld BoundEverything’s FineI Am My Monster, and The Future.

You saw the episodes. What should we say here? How about a request? What ways do you think that Jasper will carry on her campaign of petty evil through Beach City?

This was the grand sendoff to the series, and it ended the only way it could. The way we always knew it would. It was tearfully beautiful.

This episode of the podcast is also available on YouTube.

Do you think that Steven was able to learn to appreciate and love his mother for who she was in the end that is still eating at me

Sadly I think that really doesn’t have a conclusion in the series. His most recent feelings on his mom are like they’ve always been- confused, unsure, and angry.

Something like one last heart-to-heart with the Rose statue in the fountain would have been nice to hear since it was such a big focus of the series. But I guess the Crewniverse really only wanted to hammer home the point that, like humans, Rose once existed, and now doesn’t, and Steven and everyone else just had to move on without her.

I think by the time we see him in the finale Steven has learned to forgive the diamonds and his mother it’s the only way to truly heal after all care to weigh in
