Oh boy, were we waiting for this. GC13, Sophia, Isabelle, and David deliver a lengthy discussion of the Wanted event, covering Stuck Together, The Trial, Off Colors, and Lars’ Head.
From the surprise reveal of Topaz’s voice to Steven’s triumphant return to Earth, we obviously had plenty to talk about.
Do you like your TV shows happy or sad? Was the death of Lars brutal enough? Do you think he’ll ever drink that juice box?
Don’t forget the real hero of the event though: Zircon. Without her, Steven and Lars wouldn’t have been able to make their escape. Plus, whether she had the right suspects or not, she gave us a lot to think about…

Nice episode and speculation, guys.
Personally, I’d be okay if they went back to one-off episodes, but if that’s the case, I wan to get a proper feeling that there’s a hole in Beach City where Lars used to be. The easy way to do that would be an episode where everyone just kinda misses him or whatever (not sure what the story would be there), but I think they’ll instead remind us of his absence through background details and stuff like that.(I mean, imagine Lars’ parents reaction to what Steven will have to tell them). Sadie will likely be coping by hanging out with her new friends, for example.
Also, if you wondering what David was talking about with Lars, Ian confirmed he’s half-Filipino 😉 https://i.imgur.com/y4duGAh.jpg

It will definitely be interesting how they follow up this start to the season- it seems imperative that Steven deals with Lars being stuck on Homeworld, and it’s not like there’s a big mission for him to deal with otherwise atm. At the same time, I feel Lars has to be stuck on Homeworld for more than a few episodes, so they’ll have to come up with some way for Steven to be okay with letting Lars just chill around HW with the off-colors for awhile.
I liked having a full 4-person episode, it’s been a long time! (I still miss Ken though!) If I could make a friendly recommendation, it seems like Isabelle isn’t quite sure what to say during the podcasts, and I think it would help if she did some preparation before the discussion. I’m not sure what everyone else does to prepare for your weekly episodes, but it would probably help to make some extra notes, or practice what you want to talk about before recording, because right now when she does talk, she seems surprised or lost. Everyone has to practice at public speaking, and it comes easier to some of us rather than others, so I hope Isabelle continues to practice, because I’m looking forward to hearing more from her and her thoughts on Steven Universe.
Hi, Scott!
Looking back at my previous episodes, it is apparent to me that I can do much better with my discussion and speaking skills; this is coming from someone who didn’t do so hot during Socratic seminars in high school. This is my first time podcasting, so I’m still learning. In all honesty, David and I should have practiced before we recorded our first episode.
I only said anything because I wanted to hear more from you, and think you’re a good addition to the podcast. I know that these things take practice, and you’ll only continue to improve as time goes on. I hope it didn’t come across as mean or too critical, because that certainly wasn’t my intent!
Don’t worry, you didn’t!
What if Lars and Lion can fuse, resulting in a character with dog copter’s voice.
Dunno how appropriate this is but I saw this one comic of Steven going through Lars’s portal and Steven’s head suddenly poking out from Lars’s pants and that’s honestly super hilarious to me.
Hey, I posted that XD

I’m listening now and I just have to comment on the joke about Blue Diamond visiting Steven’s house and tearing open the roof….There’s been a ton of Alice in Wonderland parallels with the Wanted arc, it’d be pretty fun if they went on and did that as another Alice reference!
What if Lars went into Lion’s main and created a paradox by coming out of his own hair? Is that even possible?
