What Ever Happened to Brigid from Craig of the Creek?

Brigid led the Freddites on Craig of the Creek for exactly one (fantastic) episode, Dog Decider, before disappearing from the face of the creek. It’s a shame, because Brigid’s story was definitely left unfinished in an unsatisfying (if funny) way, unlike Deltron’s which was wrapped up exactly as much as it needed to be.

Craig of the Creek has the trading tree where kids are in background shots all the time; Brigid’s entire story after Dog Decider could be shown there even if the crew didn’t want to give her part of an episode. If the Ninja Kids can come back every so often though, why not Brigid and the Freddites? Doesn’t the star of Dog Decider deserve more?

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 283: Computer Vampire

GC13 and David discuss Summer Camp Island’s Computer Vampire.

When the vampire is not defeated, Fruit Farmer (a game that’s cursed as all get-out) takes over the island until Oscar can finish what he started. Thankfully, he shows more care for his friends (well, Hedgehog) than he shows respect for computer hardware and for books.

This episode is for babies—and we love it!

We Really Loved Season 1 of She-Ra

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power completely blew apart everything that could have been expected from a reboot of the ’80s cartoon. The Netflix show continues the awesome trend of being inclusive in its cast, but She-Ra goes further to tell deep, complex character-driven stories that share perspectives that are rare to find in other cartoons.

Sophia and David explain everything great about the show, think hard about their favorite characters, and take a broad look at what the show has done successfully through only its first 13-episode batch.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 282: Bao Bao’s Revenge

GC13 and David discuss Bao Bao’s Revenge from Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart.

What’s your favorite line from the episode? There are, as always, some outstanding quotes to choose from. More importantly, do you think Bao Bao is the reason Mao Mao became the hardcore adventurer he is today?

Mao Mao doesn’t always exaggerate, he only exaggerates when his feelings are hurt. (And Bao Bao likes butterflies.)

Also, Badgerclops painted the pikes!

Susie’s Lament: Ramona, Hedgehog, and the Future of Summer Camp Island

Summer Camp Island’s first season ended on a huge cliffhanger when Susie took Hedgehog’s wand. Why is Susie acting like this though? Betsy was teaching Hedgehog magic, so what’s the problem?

The answer lies with Ramona, Susie’s friend and Summer Camp Island’s resident time witch. Unlike the other witches, Ramona is mortal; one day, probably soon, Susie will lose her friend and someone else will have to take responsibility for time on the island and the midnight quittance.

Watch out: the next season of Summer Camp Island could have some very sad stuff in it.
