Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 330: Smashozaurs

GC13 and David discuss Smashozaurs from Glitch Techs.

Even though they’re rookie Glitch Techs, Miko and Five still have the moves. With Ally by their side, only phone calls (so unprofessionally taken during battle) can stop them in their quest to solve ALL of the problems!

Plus, we learned that the tech gauntlets have a cat bubble button. Smashing, wouldn’t you say?

OK KO’s Super Black Friday: Is It Possible To Be Too Sarcastic?

Super Black Friday was certainly a contentious episode of OK KO when it came out. While it intended to champion traditional family togetherness for the holidays, it laid on sarcasm so thick people genuinely couldn’t tell whether it was intended as such or not.

Well, fear not. To see the holiday season off it’s time to do OK KO a service and go through Super Black Friday and point out its intended message, along with perhaps why it doesn’t come across as clearly as intended.

GC13 and David discuss the five episodes about Lucy and the yetis from the third season of Summer Camp Island: Don’t Tell LucyThe Yum WhispererThe Sherbet ScoopLucy’s Instrument, and Where’s the Confetti?.

So, it’s time for a big, five-episode focus on yetis. What about poor Oscar though? He’s never been so jet-lagged. At least he finally got to be a proud father.

Plus, they were able to find parts for Keith David and Kate Micucci.

Her Own Plan: She-Ra’s Patient Schemer

We know Shadow Weaver manipulated Adora for her entire life. We know that when Adora became She-Ra that had to go—Adora was part of Shadow Weaver’s plan. But what WAS the plan then?

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power makes a clear contrast between what Shadow Weaver was able to accomplish with the Horde and what Catra was able to accomplish, but what if Shadow Weaver was in no hurry to win?

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 326: The Susie and Ramona episodes

GC13 and David discuss the four Susie and Ramona episodes that opened up Summer Camp Island’s third season: Susie’s Ark, Ghost Baby Jabberwock, Meet Me in Massachusetts, and Witches in the City.

Well, are you ready to cry? We are, we are. Usually Summer Camp Island is such a chill show, but it seems to have taken a page out of Steven Universe’s playbook.

Plus, whether you think it’s a retcon or not, we learn a lot about the backstory of the island. You are not prepared.

Shadow Weaver’s Hold on Adora: She-Ra’s Mistress of Manipulation

Shadow Weaver is easily the most manipulative character in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Surely even her powers would be no match for Adora’s good nature though, right? There’s no way Adora could have gone through with the attack on Thaymor, even if she hadn’t become She-Ra, is there?

Not so fast. Adora may be elemental good, but Shadow Weaver is elemental manipulation. Plus, she’s got tricks up her sleeve. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power would have turned out quite differently for Adora had she not happened upon the Sword of Protection.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 325: Going, Going, Gauntlet!

GC13 and David discuss Going, Going, Gauntlet! from Glitch Techs. Ah, their first day on the job…

And what an eventful day it was. And such a splendid episode too! Who knew that living the fantasy of being a Glitch Tech would be so cool? Grind for your XP!

Of course charging glitches head-on and applying solutions directly to the problem can be tough when you’re a rookie, but I guess that’s where the episode gets fun, isn’t it?
