On a more serious note, Steven Universe may very well be the best cartoon on the air right now for dealing with relationships. We definitely appreciate that.

Well if you haven’t seen Keystone Motel yet then there are some fairly large spoilers that we’ll be very happy to talk about (later), but we also learned the name of another state: Keystone. So add that to the list of states we know about, along with Delmarva and Kansas.

Ratings for Cry For Help

Cartoon Network is still releasing new episodes in bomb format, so there will be no premier ratings horse race to keep track of this week either.

Not that we should be afraid of one. Cry For Help got a respectable 1,714,000 viewers last night.

There’s a lot to talk about. Who would have expected Sardonyx to turn out looking the way she did? What is the deal with the Crying Breakfast Friends? Should Garnet forgive Pear(l)?

Amethyst was willing to come to Pearl’s defense, so that’s a sign of real character growth after her introspection in Reformed.

We’re starting a five-episode story arc centered on Pearl, so who knows what’s gonna happen? Friday will probably end with a fusion. Who do you want it to be: Sardonyx or Opal?

Immediate reaction to Cry For Help

So it begins.

Well, we’ve (officially) seen Sardonyx, and the Pearl-haters will now never stop talking. Plus we’ve seen some actual clips from the Crying Breakfast Friends and we still don’t understand what Steven sees in that show.

Lore-wise, we’ve seen that there’s a limit to the damage that a flask robonoid can repair (and that it’s not even that hard to reach). We’ve also started a five-episode story arc, so don’t be surprised if Sardonyx shows back up in Friend Ship. We’re definitely crossing out fingers.

It’s pretty much a given that the mural portrays Rose Quartz and the rest of the Diamonds, but we still haven’t learned everything that the mural has to tell us.

Steven was a much less-experienced character back in earlier episodes, and Serious Steven is an episode that shows that very clearly. He hasn’t lost his charm, but you won’t find Pearl tucking him under her arm anymore.

Dakota was recently on an episode of The Ringo Zone, so make sure to check it out.
