PodcastTitleGC13 comes out for another solo episode discussing a favorite theory: that Rose used to be or used to work for Pink Diamond, the missing fourth member of the Great Diamond Authority.

It’s a well-known theory, though less popular in its strict Rose-as-Pink-Diamond form after It Could’ve Been Great. GC13 still hasn’t lost faith in the greatness of Rose, however, though Rose’s greatness would certainly not be diminished if she were a champion of Pink Diamond.

In addition to an overview of the theory there are a couple fun hints from the show, one leading more towards Rose being a champion, the other towards Rose being a Diamond herself. Who knows where the show will take us when it finally makes its reveal?

Rev up those Ruby jokes, but while they may not be the brightest Gems out there they can play baseball pretty well. They’re no match for Earl, Amy, Bob, and Sophie though (and Steven!).

So, which Ruby was your favorite? Each comes with her own distinctive personality (and even two distinct outfits!). Pearls may be the fancy ones, but apparently the homeworld isn’t super strict about who gets to look a little different. Of course why the Rubies have such different personalities is a bit confusing, but hopefully we’ll see them later. Ruby and the Rubies!

What we learned from Hit the Diamond

Hit the Diamond was a lot of fun, but sometimes episodes with a lot of fun also use the shenanigans on screen as a path to show us more about the world that Steven inhabits. This was definitely one of those episodes, actually showing us one thing that really challenges how the earlier homeworld was portrayed.
