Did Lapis even know that Pink was “shattered”? She was stuck in the mirror the whole time and Pearl never really talked about it any, plus Lapis was in Pearl’s gem the whole time. Lapis might not even know that there are only 3 active Diamonds at the time.

If Rose Quartz is just her chosen regeneration post-poofing then that calls into question pretty much all of Gem culture. Is it really so easy to fake your death? Is it really all that easy for any old Gem to just fake being another Gem? I mean, Pearl, Amethyst, Sapphire, and Lapis were able to fool the Rubies into believing they are human just by covering their Gems (with Sapphire possibly hiding her Gem cuz it wasn’t on her hand during that whole scene) and yeah, the Rubies are dumb as a truck, but still is it really that easy to just perform straight up identity fraud? Plus, Steven, at all appearances looks Human to any Gem until he shows his Gem then they are totally on board with him being a Gem.

Also, Gems have been shown to change size anyway as needed. It seems to have some capacity to change. I mean, Garnet shapeshifting to grab Steven in the Amethyst helicopter her Gem got bigger, they didn’t have to draw it that way, that was a very big thing that would’ve had to have been boarded. Plus just with the Fusions, Sardonyx’s pearl is like, the size of Pearl’s whole head. We are making a lot of assumptions on the composition and properties of a Gem’s gemstone, they might themselves be composed of some kind of hyper-compressed light/life energy.

Fun fact, the flower representing Pink Diamond is also called the “Korean Rose”! 😀

Also, does this infer that everytime a Gem regenerates, that version of them is essentially “dead” and has to just live in “Gem limbo” forever while some other new model gets to continue the “plot”? Does that suggest that Amethyst has a vast labyrinth of Amethyst in her Gem? I mean, Pearl is probably one of the only types of Gems with that kind of matter to energy conversion ability, but Steven transporting himself into Malachite’s head and seeing Lapis and Jasper, could he in theory do that with Amethyst and there’s just an army of Amethysts all at varying stages of emotional self-hatred? Also, a bit of a little “hole” i noticed or possibly an even more horrifying inference, the Shapeshifted Rose Quartz form and the Past Pearl form were considered different variants of Pearl for the purposes of her Gem. Imagine how many millions upon billions of Amethysts there are in various forms just living in some kind of “Amethyst Land” like whoa that’d be a cool comic idea.

I feel like Garnet’s Future Vision is the equivalent of the What If machine from Futurama. Like, she can only predict things that she was actually thinking of asking. So she sees Steven, a ball, and the stairs. From that she can then ask her Future Vision “what will happen if Steven walks down the stairs?” and it will give her the answer, but she could just as easily ask “what if Steven doesn’t fall?” and she’ll be given a vision of Steven being fine. In the case of Bismuth, she didn’t know Bismuth was in there or that Bismuth was still alive, so she didn’t think to ask “Are there any Gems inside of Lion?” so she didn’t get any visions of it. Like when Peridot was not actually fixing the Communication Tower, she was asking her Future Vision “What scenario will lead us to catching Peridot?” and she got nothing. If she had asked “What if it’s not Peridot doing it?” she might have gotten some visions of Pearl doing it.

The statement of calling Steven “100% Human and 100% Gem” is such a good statement, nice one Isabelle 😀

Also, Rose sharing Pink’s voice and also all of her powers, how are they gonna explain away how the Diamonds never questioned that. Is the “gemetics” of various Gems really such a topic that people just don’t know about? Like Peridot is a “certified kindergartener” and yet the description of Steven as a “quartz with healing powers” didn’t trigger anything for her? She could’ve been “uh, bullcrap, there’s no Quartz type that can do that, what the heck?”

They could just have White Diamond be called just “Diamond” or like “Clear Diamond”. Or even something like “Carbon” or some other such silly thing.

I think that Pink’s memories trickling in at this time is Pink reaching out and trying to help Steven get through her mess. Her finally telling him the truth in the only way she is physically capable of doing.

Bear in mind, Pearl was visibly distressed each time her Spear was “broken” or lost like when the giant bird ate it. She might have a limited number of Spears. I mean, Bismuth was able to just on the fly modify Pearl’s weapon into a trident. Also it would’ve been cool if one of the spears was the trident model. That would’ve helped me understand more, I think…
