Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 50: When it Rains

PodcastTitleKen, GC13, Sophia, and Dakota, back from his break for an episode, get very excited to talk about When it Rains. The Peridemption train is rolling!

At this point everyone will have their heart broken should something happen to keep Peridot from permanently joining the team, since that scene of her stepping into the rain seemed pretty conclusive. She’ll be a great asset for lore-loving fans, with her homeworld mindset and awareness of recent events (though of course we need Jasper to join as well).

The Cluster continues to loom over the series, and the destruction it can cause has finally been revealed. Let’s just hope that we never see its physical form, so that destruction never becomes a reality—on Earth, anyway.

I think there are just one Diamond leader, Yellow Diamond, the other three colors maybe the leaders of the other cast of gems, Rose being of the quartz. ( Can you guys link the sky arena thing? )

  1. Oh, by the way, anybody else getting the Guide to the Crystal Gems’ book? Mine’s arriving tomorrow.

    Yay! Dakota’s back!

Also I have no idea what yall are talking about with “pacing issues” I’m constantly amazed by how well this show is paced for having 11 min episodes. Just my uneducated opinion though lol.

Peridot is my new favourite (I’ve always loved her though). They better not kill her >:(

Also about gem shards and how small they can be broken… the weird scroll thing in Together Breakfast had the power it had because the drawings on it were done in /gem powder/

That doesn’t really fit with the rules we’ve seen with Gem shards. the Gem Battlefield was presumably covered in fragments and pulverized bits of Gems, yet the only affect it seems to have had is making strawberries grow larger, not come to life and attack.

True! But what I said is referencing an “official” tweet by someone in the crewniverse. If I find it again before comments close on here I’ll post the link.

Yeah, I was surprised to see anyone online saying it had pacing issues. Like I said: the episode felt like a masterclass in how to pace an eleven-minute cartoon episode (at least a content-dense one).
