Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 164: The November 10 preview

GC13, Isabelle, Sophia, and David discuss the preview for the episodes Cartoon Network will be putting up on its app on November 10.

It’s a minute of preview but there’s plenty to talk about, whether it’s worrying about the challenge to Dewey’s possession of the mayorship (the scent of “Dewey Defeats Truman” wafts in the air), gushing over Sadie’s musical debut, or simply wondering what Lapis and Peridot’s deal is.

We won’t have to wait long to find out. The episodes release on November 10!

Steven Universe air times for November 6-12, 2017

No episodes are set to air on television.

However, do not forget that on November 10, six new episodes will be released on the Cartoon Network app.

Save the Light releases on Xbox One today

The Save the Light train has pulled into Xbox One station. It is now available digitally on the Xbox Store for $25. This is a worldwide release, so wherever you happen to live you’ll be able to enjoy Save the Light on your Xbox One.

Everyone give Grumpyface Studios a big round of applause for getting Save the Light shipped, and enjoy the game.

Anti-Gravity graphic novel releases today

Anti-Gravity releases today. There is a tantalizing preview available if you’re interested.

If you can read the description that accompanies that preview and not immediately wonder if we’re finally going to find out what that orb is on the moon base… Well, you wouldn’t be us, now would you?

At 144 pages, it comes in just a bit shorter than Too Cool For School was.

Anti-Gravity will cost you $15 and is available in print, and is also available digitally via Comixology.

Save the Light releases on Playstation 4 today

If you were eagerly awaiting the new Steven Universe game Save the Light, your wait is over! It is now available digitally on the Playstation Store for $25 in North America and Latin America (though there is no word on when the switch will be flipped for the international release).

If you own an Xbox One you don’t have to wait long: it will release on the Xbox One on November 3.

New episodes to return (on the app) on November 10

We may still be waiting until winter to see them air on television, but at least it won’t be such a long wait until we have the episodes after all.

Peridot took over Cartoon Network’s Twitter account and collaborated with Cartoon Network’s PR team to announce the news: Steven Universe episodes will be released to the app on November 10.

Most interestingly the announcement video contains clips from upcoming episodes. You should watch them: we’re hyped, and we want you to be too.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 163: It Came From the Nightosphere

GC13 and David look back at Ms. Sugar’s first episode of Adventure Time, It Came From the Nightosphere.

Nominated for an Emmy in 2011, It Came From the Nightosphere is certainly a great first outing for Ms. Sugar, and more good work from her partner on the episode Mr. Muto. Plus of course Ms. Sugar’s first episode would have a song in it. 🙂

Every so often we’ll look back at another one of Ms. Sugar’s Adventure Time episodes. The next time we do we’ll be looking at Power Animal, so look forward to that! Next week though? We’ll actually have to see about that… It turns out we live in very exciting times.

Steven Universe air times for October 30 – November 5, 2017

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 162: Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems comic miniseries

GC13 and Sophia discuss the four-issue comic miniseries Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems, written by Josceline Fenton and illustrated by Chrystin Garland.

The title may be awfully generic (far from being a slice-of-life series, the miniseries is very focused on one specific story and is structured like a single episode), but the art style is quite show-accurate and the characterization just what you’d expect.

The miniseries gets a stamp of approval.
