GC13 and David discuss an episode of Craig of the Creek written and storyboarded in part by a Steven Universe storyboarder (Amber Cragg): The Curse.

It was an episode awaited ever since the Witches of the Creek were seen in the opening theme, and it didn’t disappoint. Two fantastic character designs were attached to two fantastic characters, put into a fantastic episode.

Tabitha and Courtney’s voice actresses are actually known for their podcast, My Favorite Murder, if you’re interested in hearing more of them.

Comicosity has a preview for Harmony #5. Did you want a big finish? It looks like the miniseries is getting a big finish.

We get to see our favorite Homeworld Gems very briefly before getting to the action that Harmony #4 promised us—and this issue quickly makes good on.

Oh yes, and one more thing: Peridot. Just Peridot. 🙂

Harmony #5 will be out on December 5, 2018. It’s the final issue in the miniseries, so if you’ve been waiting until it’s over then now is the time.

Lars of the Stars storyline coming up in Steven Universe comics

Alright, we’ve had a few days to mentally process Diamond Days, so now it’s time to cover another announcement that was made recently: starting with issue #25, the main Steven Universe comic series will feature a storyline about Lars and his off-color crew.

From the announcement it sounds like we’ll be getting Lars’s perspective on the events of Lars of the Stars, then follow him and his crew for some brand new stories.

We love the slice-of-life stuff from the main comics, but this story arc promises to be a good substitute.

Issue #25 releases on February 27, 2019.

Air dates and descriptions for Diamond Days

The Futon Critic has the air dates and episode descriptions for the upcoming episodes of Steven Universe. The first four episodes will air one per week (yay!) on Mondays at 7:30 PM EST, with one week off in January before a four(!!!)-part special which will begin at 7:00 PM EST.

  • December 17 – Legs From Here to Homeworld: Steven travels to visit family.
  • December 24 – Familiar: With many changes going on in his life, Steven tries to find his place in the world.
  • December 31 – Together Alone: Steven throws a party to bring his family together.
  • January 7 – Escapism: Steven uses his psychic powers to find help.
  • January 21 – Battle of Heart and Mind: Steven faces his biggest challenge yet.
