CACTI THEORY: Jasper will Corrupt Organic Life

The Cacti Cluster intrigued David the most out of all the villains in the Steven Universe Future intro. His theory for why this monster exists, how it could come to be, and what motivation its creator would have is… plausible?

Fans have been waiting for so many answers in Steven Universe: why Rose/Pink has power over organic life, what the fate of the Cluster be, and if Jasper will ever be redeemed? Also, what’s up with those Rose Quartz gems at the human zoo? David hopes all those questions and more will be answered in Future, and maybe, just maybe, they’ll be connected to the central theme of this theory.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 266: Old theories #1

GC13 and David discuss two theories from earlier days in the fandom: that Lion was actually Rose, and that Pearls were Homeworld’s original techies.

They are definitely theories from another time, but while Pearls have been decisively proven not to be techies there are still doubts lingering in their air about Lion, since the show has made a pretty clear implication about his past without explicitly saying anything.

If you’re curious, you can read the Rose Quartz = Lion Tumblr post made by Your Fossa here.

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 264: The Steven Universe: Future intro

GC13 and David discuss the intro for Steven Universe: Future. Twenty seconds of glimpses into the future.

It’s also a glimpse at the end of the series—yes, once this season (or season-length series?) is over it will by all accounts be the end of Steven Universe.

What we’re seeing is enticing though. It’s a whole new era, and it’s time to find some more loose ends to tie up!
