Ratings for Crack the Whip

Tuesday was an excellent day for Cartoon Network. (For any who are not super-familiar with the ratings, ratings for individual episodes are not based nearly as much on hype for seeing a particular episode as they are based on a combination of the show’s popularity and how the network was doing that day).

On this excellent day, Crack the Whip was able to get 1,904,000 viewers, similar to how the show did back in the Days of Old before the network’s ratings fell. The re-run of the Crystal Gem Jams block also got 1,407,000 viewers, beating the previous record set by the first airing of the Lapis’ Lament block.

Here’s how Cartoon Network’s premiers did:

  1. Teen Titans Go! at 6:00 PM with 2,065,000 viewers
  2. Steven Universe at 7:00 PM with 1,904,000 viewers
  3. We Bare Bears at 5:00 PM with 1,222,000 viewers

Finally, Cartoon Network is premiering more than just Steven Universe. The Summer Adventure enters its third week, while the Teen Titans start their Island Adventure and the Bears start up another Bear Stack.

Gem Hunt had a really good day, getting 1,637,000 viewers.

Here’s how the ratings shaped up on Monday:

Ratings for Greg the Babysitter

On Friday, Greg the Babysitter has 1,312,000 viewers.

Normally we don’t cover any ratings that might be posted for re-runs, but the Lapis’ Lament block that was run on Friday got exceptional ratings: 1,346,000 viewers (almost 200,000 more viewers than the Mr. Universe block got the week before).

Lunar Sea Spire podcast episode 98: Week two of the Summer Adventure

PodcastTitleGC13 and Hunter discuss the second week of the Summer Adventure event: Restaurant WarsKiki’s Pizza Delivery ServiceMonster ReunionAlone at Sea, and Greg the Babysitter.

This week had something we had been hoping for for a long time, and we’re pretty sure you now what it was. It also had Steven doing a very convincing Hunter impression, which was also fun.

Of course it also got a bit heavy, but in the sadness there was hope.

Each week during the Summer Adventure event we’ll do an episode briefly going over the previous week’s episodes; once the event is done we’ll buckle down and start doing a full episode for each episode of the event after new weekly episodes stop.

Previews for August 1-5

amethystposeWe saw the preview for the whole week, but now we have individual previews for each episode. Oh boy… Do be warned that these official previews spoil a bit of plot resolution, but it should be just enough to get you hyped for the week’s episodes if you don’t mind that sort of thing.
