Well we finally have a date and a time for the end of this break in new episodes: Thursday, May 12, at 7 PM EDT.
Entertainment Weekly has the details: episodes will air weekly for four weeks, and we’ll get the party started with two episodes on May 12. There’s even a video of the commercial with some super-spoilerific teaser tidbits, so if you’ve been keeping yourself clear of the Cartoon Network UK leaks then don’t watch the video or even read too far into the article (which gives a brief overview of the video).
So we’ll definitely be there, and we are so glad that we’re getting weekly episodes instead of a bomb format. The hype has returned, and now it’s down to the last little bit of waiting.

So did they just drop the “Summer of Steven” for “In Too Deep”, or is it part of it?

You never can tell with Cartoon Network’s scheduling department. I’d assume that the Summer of Steven is still on, but we’ll find out.
Asked Mr. Burnett himself, and it seems that there separate.

That’s good to hear. Hopefully they use the same format for the Summer of Steven as the In Too Deep event.
