Ah, so they finally decided to come out and say it: Hollywood Reporter says that Steven Universe, along with several other shows) will be getting an additional season. That brings us up to three seasons, presumably 156 episodes, of the show we love. That’s great news!
With us barely into season two, only starting to see what we’re going to uncover, who can imagine what season three will bring?

I noticed that when discussing Rose Quartz the members of your podcast refer to her as “dead”. The show describes it as “she gave up her physical form”. This difference could be attributed to censors not liking the word death in a kids show, but maybe not.
So here’s my theory: When Steven does die (either from injury or old age) the crystal defaults back to Rose. The Gems treated Rose as dead because they didn’t know it would end up like this. I could see Rose Quartz standing over Steven’s body tearfully thanking him for letting her experience what truly was to be human.
I’m curious what the members of your podcast would think of an ending like this.
Maybe they can find a way for him and Rose to co-exist?
I really think that Lion is Rose. “Gave up her physical form” doesn’t necessarily mean that Rose has NO phyisical form, and who knows what childbirth does to a gem. For all we know she could have shapeshifter into a lion as she was giving birth, and without her gem, she was stuck as one. There’s holes in the theory, but I guess we’ll just have to wait for the show to give us new information.
